Ian has over 30 years of pharmaceutical industry experience and is founder and Chief Executive Officer of Juno Pharmaceuticals Inc.
Prior to founding Juno Pharmaceuticals, Ian worked for Arrow Pharmaceuticals as the Chief Executive Officer of Cobalt Pharmaceuticals (2000 – 2010). Ian was also instrumental in the development of other Arrow international business units. Arrow Pharmaceuticals was sold to Watson Pharmaceuticals (now Actavis) in June 2009 for over US $2.4 billion. As Chief Executive Officer of Cobalt, Ian was responsible for over $300 million in sales and the in-licencing of over 60 products.
Prior to Arrow, Ian served as Executive Vice President of Genpharm Inc., and in senior management roles at Amerpharm/Merck Generics, a division of Merck KGaA. He also worked in the office of the President of Par Pharmaceuticals (US).
Ian joined the Board of Speciality European Pharma in May 2016 as Non-Executive Chairman.
Patrick joined the board at Speciality European Pharma in March 2007 as Chief Financial Officer. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer in December 2010.
Prior to joining Speciality European Pharma, Patrick held the position of Chief Financial Officer at both Inpharmatica Limited (2001 – 2007), a chemogenomics company; and Phairson Medical Limited (1996 – 2001), a protein therapeutics discovery company. Prior to joining Phairson, Patrick spent more than ten years in the financial markets practice of Arthur Andersen in London.
Patrick is a qualified Chartered Accountant and an Economics graduate of the University of East Anglia.
Graham has more than 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Graham set up Aspire Pharma Limited in 2009, and is currently its Chief Executive Officer. Aspire Pharma is a fully integrated, UK focused pharmaceutical company that specialises in the licensing and marketing of both branded and generic medicines.
Prior to founding Aspire Pharma in 2009, Graham progressed through various roles in Sales & Marketing with GSK & Dominion Pharma.
In 1999, Graham became Managing Director of Pliva Pharma UK, successfully growing the company from a turnover of £5 million to over £30 million in the UK.
Graham joined the Board of Speciality European Pharma in May 2016 as a Non-Executive Director.
Rakesh joined Speciality European Pharma in January 2009 as the Vice President of Marketing. He was appointed to the role of UK General Manager in March 2010 and to the position of General Manager, Northern Europe in May 2013. Rakesh was appointed to the Board of Speciality European Pharma in May 2016 and became Chief Operating Officer in January 2017.
Prior to joining Speciality European Pharma, Rakesh spent 5 years at Takeda as EU Head of Specialty Products and various roles in Corporate Development (2004 – 2009). Prior to his time at Takeda, Rakesh was UK Marketing Manager at Pfizer in the UK (2003 – 2004) and held various sales and marketing related positions at Pharmacia & Upjohn (1996 – 2003).
Rakesh is a Biochemistry graduate of University College of London.
